オノ・ヨーコのクリスマス・メッセージ？
クリスマス・メッセージではなくて、感謝祭のメッセージです。
私が知ったもとは、

です。このオノ・ヨーコの文章は、本物らしい。２００３年は１１月２７日が感謝祭の日で、
"we are all water in the same ocean" - Google 検索
すると、２００３年の１１月２６日に最初のコピーが出てきます。
また、オノ・ヨーコのパフォーマンスが、スコットランドの新聞の記事になっていて、オノ・ヨーコが読み上げた文章として、一部が載っていますので多分、本物なのだと思います。この記事では東京やニューヨーク、ロンドンだけでなく、イギリスのスコットランドのグラスゴーでも、おこなわれたという記事です。

Lennon message sent to Tokyo, New York ... and Castlemilk

THE optimistic message has shone down in New York, Tokyo and London, but from tomorrow a Christmas greeting from John Lennon and the Beatle's widow Yoko Ono will grace a hill -- in Castlemilk.
Billboards with a quote from Lennon: "War is over! If you want it" along with the message "Happy Christmas love John and Yoko", have graced Piccadilly Circus and Times Square, but now the deprived Glasgow housing scheme will display the same message -- with Ono's approval.

The poster, on a hoarding donated by billboard firm Maiden, will be launched by local three-year-old Abbie McLuckie tomorrow, and a dedication from Ono will be read, including the lines: "The shortest distance between two points is our desire and our unwavering belief ... remember we are all water in the same ocean."

さて、で、私にとって『とんでも』な話はどうでもよいです。そもそも、オノ・ヨーコの本は、ジョン・レノンに、『This is the best book I have ever burnt』と言われたくらいです*1。もとのオノ・ヨーコの文章は

で始まりますが、この大文字で看板風に書かれた『War Is Over』は『War is over. If you want it.』のベトナム反戦広告で使ったように、
あなたが、その気になれば、戦争（もしくは、この場合なら時代の狂気など）は終わらせられる
という意味なのです。だから、日本語に翻訳した文章*2のように、『恐れないでください。戦争は終わったのです。』だと訳が分からんことになります。違うんです。『そう望めば、終わらせられる』なんですね。だからこそ、『意志すると現実がかわる』という話を出したのです。『戦争』はまだ終わっておりません。終わっているのなら、『War was over』になります。
また、この"we are all water in the same ocean"というのは、ここから来ます。
というよりも、この水のイメージを言いたいがために、水の話をしたのでしょう。
